Knee pain is a common issue that originates in any of the bones, ligaments or cartilage that comprises the knee joint. Knee pain can be localized or diffuse throughout the knee.
A physical examination will be performed to inspect for the following:
- Range of motion
- Joint strength
Imaging tests may also be ordered such as an X-ray, Ultrasound, Computerize tomography (CT scan), or Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These tests allow the physician to exam you bones, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, and muscles.
